The Lighthouse Island Development Project is a joint effort between the Minnetonka Yacht Club (MYC), the Lake Minnetonka Sailing School (LMSS), and a robust group of dedicated individuals serving on the following committees.
Founded in 1882, the Minnetonka Yacht Club is one of the oldest yacht clubs in the country, and Lake Minnetonka Sailing School is one of the largest sailing schools in the country. Both reside together at Lighthouse Island, where sailors of all levels connect, learn, and grow as individuals and as a sailing community.
